My cats got a head start on a nap in my bed and I will soon be joining them to take a little nap to recharge for the day.

I think I am lacking about an hour of sleep from last night, so as soon as I eat my lunch in five or so minutes I will join the cats for a little catnap session.

The bedroom is cool and I have two fans in there to circulate the air in the room and cool it down a bit. It is April and I don’t need air conditioning just yet as the fans seem to do the trick of cooling me down for now. In a month it is all going to change though as the temps go up and the whole town gets hot once again. I will have a good central HVAC system to keep me cool this summer and I am happy about that because the last flat I lived in had no cooling or heating system whatsoever. Things are a lot better now, and even though I pay a little more money each month to live it is well worth the extra cash. It is nice in the winter because I don’t have to haul a small space heater from room to room to stay warm, as the central heating system does a nice job of heating the whole flat evenly and quickly. I was paying $500 a month to live in a dumpy old flat and now, three years later, I pay $750 to live in a new flat with a new HVAC system.

My sandwich is on the grill cooking and my cats are on the couch sleeping, so everything is as it should be in the flat with me working as usual.

One day this work thing will all be in the past when I am an old man looking back on my life, and I will probably wish that I could still be working and be needed and useful in this world.

Maybe when you quit working you feel like you are no longer in the game and feeling left out. Could that be possible, to miss working? My HVAC rep doesn’t seem to think so as he counts down his years left till retirement. The only problem with that is he will be 70 years old and pretty much all worn out from so many years of working on HVAC equipment. His knees and back are pretty much worn out and he doesn’t have that much breath when he walks up a few flights of stairs anymore. He talks about traveling in an air conditioned RV but I don’t see him doing that when he is in his 70s with no wife anymore. She passed away a year or two ago and I think it is a pipe dream of his to travel in an RV and be free. This other HVAC tech is talking about the same and maybe they could get together and travel so they aren’t alone on the road. I would like to get an RV too, but I want to do it while I am still young and energetic.

I got up yupterday day, in addition to the air conditioning device wasn’t laboring, and i woke up my fiance in addition to told him there was a flashing yellow light on the A/C unit, in addition to it wasn’t laboring, he got out of bed, yawned, in addition to looked at the A/C unit.

He told me the flashing yellow light meant there was no power.

It was a safety feature. He was heading back to bed when he turned back around. He frowned in addition to told me my buddy and I had to go to city after breakfast, however my buddy and I needed a modern air conditioning device if that yellow light was flashing. I asked him if there could not be another complication if the flashing light was on. He told me the only other thing it could be is if the power had gone off in the middle of the evening; She pointed to the clock on the stove. It was almost an hour off. Some time in the middle of the evening, the power had gone off, in addition to the air conditioning device didn’t turn back on. He laughed in addition to said he should have realized that. It was my fault for waking him up that he didn’t notice that first? I snorted in addition to walked away from him. My buddy and I should have bought a modern window air conditioning device last year. Melody and I had plans to go away for the weekend.

We have been seeing each other for 6 months, and I must admit things have been going quite well.

See, I was a bit hesitant to jump back into the love wagon after my last heart break. But, you can’t live life without taking risks. So, after a month of knowing Melody, I knew I wanted to make her my girlfriend. She is amazing, and always challenges me to be the best I can be in life. I wanted to take her to this amazing BnB I had come across in the mountains for a romantic weekend. So, we were talking on the phone to finalize our arrangements. This is when Melody told me she was waiting for an AC expert to come to her home. She had been experiencing issues with the AC and wasn’t sure why it was malfunctioning. Since it’s summer, I knew she needed the AC working to keep her home cool. As we were talking, there was a knock on her door, and she set the phone down to go and open it. Then, she came back and said the AC expert had arrived. He was inspecting the unit to see why it had failed. After a few minutes, I heard the AC expert inform Melody she had forgotten to change her air filter. It was filthy and clogged which caused the unit to malfunction and stop working. Melody laughed and said she hadn’t written this in her calendar which is why she didn’t remember to do it.

Traffic in our area has become worse and worse as more people move in. When I purchased a house in this location, there were only a few others. It was a sort of sleepy village and I loved it. I’d have to drive an hour to work and an hour from work each evening. But, it was worth it. We rarely had vehicles racing by, and the atmosphere was peaceful. But, there was a change in road carriage, and we got a major one passing by. So, with that came loads of development and that was the end of our peaceful existence. Now, traffic is even worse, and I take longer to get to work and back home in the evening. I’ve been thinking about moving since I can no longer enjoy peaceful mornings and nights with all the cars and trucks passing by. Anyway, the other day I was late getting home and discovered that my AC had failed. This was shocking since it was so hot outside. I’d been enjoying the cool air from the AC in the car on my way home. But, now the AC in my home had failed and it was 8 pm. Thankfully, I have a service and repair plan with the local HVAC business with a 24/7 emergency repair plan. I had an HVAC expert come to fix the faulty unit because it was too hot to sleep without AC. The guy came across a puddle of water on the basement floor, and an inspection revealed the drain line was clogged. It took him 45 minutes to fix the matter, and he also replaced my filthy air filter. This restored my AC and I was happy when going to bed.

The interview process was long and challenging, but it was all worth it for the demanding position.

I had been working with one of the biggest cooling corporations for years before it shut down because of the effects of Covid 19.

I stayed home for about eight months before getting a call back from an indoor comfort business. I had seen the position of branch manager being advertised, and I applied for it. I did not think they would call me back because of my cooling specialist career gap. I was slotted for the first round of interviews. One particularly challenging practical question was to show you how to deal with an angry customer demanding a new air conditioning system after the quality HVAC system installed breaks down. I aced the interviews and was called back for the second round. This round included practically doing a successful and correct HVAC installation while working as a team. The final round was more theoretical. They needed to know whether I understood cooling technology and different types of systems. I passed the interviews and was excited to sign the new contract. My work began by understanding the processes and culture of the a/c workers’ teams. Within a few months, I had set up a training program for the a/c professionals to sharpen their skills in working with systems like the ductless mini-split system. I also grew the inventory by adding equipment such as the digital thermostat and electric heat pump to help our customers’ indoor comfort. I saw the need to streamline processes like the air conditioner tune-up to help our customers stay on top of the scheduling. We had a special team focusing only on air conditioning service. So far the job is good but very demanding.

These thoughts fill my head as I watch my daughter talk and laugh with her friend on the sofa beside me. I remember when she was born and how tiny she was. Now she was about to head to college, and I could not believe how much time and fast it had passed. Since I wanted her to enjoy the same comfort she has at home in her new apartment, I offered to help her furnish it and get all the essential appliances. The stench was even worse since the ductless mini-split unit in the bedroom was not working. Even after I had cleaned, the room was still reeking of cat poop. At first, I knew it was less than a year ago, but after a few events came to mind, I realized it had been almost two years since I serviced the electric heat pump. I decided to take my husband for a short getaway during the holidays. I booked a hotel room for us during our stay there. When we got to our suite, I discovered that the digital thermostat could not regulate the temperature well, and I decided to report to the management of the hotel. They promised to call in for air conditioning service. The temperatures there were higher than in our home area, and it would be unfavorable for us to be in a hotel room without a good ac unit to help with indoor comfort. I wanted this holiday to be memorable for both of us. The a/c worker checked on it and informed us that the ductless mini-split unit in our suite was the problem and needed a new air conditioning unit to replace it. I hoped an air conditioning tune-up would solve the problem, but I have yet to find a way to do so. At this point, I was getting frustrated because we were there to relax and unwind and not to deal with a cooling specialist and air conditioning service. I asked the management to assign us a new room if no suite was available, but all the rooms were already full. A typical HVAC installation usually takes a full day, but since the only one they would replace was just a single unit and not the complete electric heat pump, it would take less than two hours. The manager assured us he would go to a nearby indoor comfort business and purchase quality HVAC. The manager offered us a complimentary spa treatment to compensate for the interruption. At the same time, they worked on it. Two and a half hours later, the a/c professional sourced the unit from the cooling corporation and successfully installed it.
