I had a hard time sleeping last night.

It was thundering all night long, and the lightning was so vivid, it was lighting up the room, even though my curtains were closed.

I heard one loud crack that sounded like lightning had hit the house, but since I didn’t smell smoke, I went back to sleep. When I got up this morning, the air was crisp and clean, and I went outside on the porch to enjoy my coffee. I sat there huddled in my robe with my hands wrapped around my coffee mugs, and looked around the yard. That’s when I realized there was a tree in my yard. It had fallen in the middle of the storm, and it was on top of my air conditioning unit. I closed my eyes and prayed fruitlessly that it hadn’t damaged the air conditioning unit. I waited until the sun came up and assessed the damage. Not only had the tree landed on the air conditioning unit, but one of its branches had impaled the air conditioning unit. I couldn’t believe the tree hadn’t broken a window or done damage to the house. I called the HVAC company and told them what had happened. I already had a tree service coming to remove the tree. My wife thought we should cut the tree up ourselves, but I didn’t want to tackle the job. I told her the insurance company may pay for everything, but even if it didn’t, I would not cut down the tree when it could damage the air conditioning unit even more and possibly do damage to the house.

I got up yesterday morning, and the air conditioning unit wasn’t working.

I woke up my husband and told him there was a flashing red light on the AC unit, and it wasn’t working.

He got out of bed, yawned, and looked at the AC unit. He told me the flashing red light meant there was no power. It was a safety feature. He was heading back to bed when he turned back around. He frowned and told me we had to go to town after breakfast. We needed a new air conditioning unit if that red light was flashing. I asked him if there couldn’t be another problem if the flashing light was on. He told me the only other thing it could be is if the power had gone off in the middle of the night. She pointed to the clock on the stove. It was almost an hour off. Some time in the middle of the night, the power had gone off, and the air conditioning unit didn’t turn back on. He laughed and said he should have realized that. It was my fault for waking him up that he didn’t notice that first? I snorted and walked away from him. We should have bought a new window air conditioning unit last year. It was getting noisier every day, and we couldn’t get nearly the amount of cool air from it we previously had. I wished we hadn’t noticed the clock on the stove. We would be heading to town to buy a new air conditioning unit.

I waited until the sun came up & assessed the detriment, not only had the tree landed on the cooling system unit, however one of its branches had impaled the cooling system unit. I could not know the tree hadn’t broken a window or done detriment to the house. I called the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C supplier & told them what had happened. I already had a tree repair coming to disconnect the tree. My wifey thought my friend and I should split the tree up ourselves, despite the fact that I didn’t want to tackle the job. I told her the insurance supplier may pay for everything, however even if it didn’t, I would not split down the tree when it could detriment the cooling system unit even more & possibly do detriment to the house.

They are running a heating tune up special at the Heating, Ventilation and A/C company where I work.

It’s funny because I have been working here at this heating and cooling company for the past five years, but this is the first time that I can remember them ever offering a heating tune up special. It’s a different time of year to be offering a heating tune up special, too, in my opinion. I mean, right now is when the weather is absolutely heating up for the Springtime. My boss told me that this is the best time of year to do a heating tune up special, though. She says that once the winter time is over, it’s a nice time to go through HVAC units to check to see if any parts need to be repaired or substituted. She says that it’s better to do it now than in the fall when the weather is cooling down again and you might need to be running the boiler. I know that makes sense, because I definitely don’t need to run the boiler right now. The weather has been super warm here over the past week, so running the boiler at my apartment hasn’t even been on my mind! My friend and I are already switching over to the central cooling system at my house! Meanwhile, I’m supposed to be helping to advertise the heating tune up special from the Heating, Ventilation and A/C company where I work. it’s just kind of weird to me. I know it’s just bad timing in my opinion. However, I know my boss knows what he’s doing, as he’s been in this corp for a truly long time.

I feel that the boiler in the bathroom at work is broken.

It’s been so cold inside of the bathroom over the last few weeks that there is no way that the boiler is working properly in there.

I have complained about this concern several times to the repair department at work, but it seems like no one is even listening to me. I do not know if anyone actually loves the fact that the heating isn’t working in the bathroom, even though I care. It takes me a long time to get warmed up whenever it’s cold outside. Even though it’s technically Springtime on the calendar, the weather has not started heating up truly much at all around here yet. I feel that whoever sets the heating and cooling settings on the thermostat at work must be delusional or something! They have the heating settings turned up actually high out in the main areas of the office, but then when you go into the bathroom it’s chilly cold. It’s the last spot that I want to have to go and pull down my pants, that’s for sure! It feels like you’re walking inside of a walk-in freezer whenever you have to go in there. I mean, I know it’s nice to have a cool spot at work if you’re someone who gets warm flashes or something like that. I don’t though! So going to the bathroom at work these times makes me feel like I need to suit up with a winter time coat and gloves. The whole thing is just crazy. I wish that they would just pay attention and get the unit fixed in there.

Our apartment is always so cold that my pal and I have decided to just go ahead and get the boiler checked by a professional Heating, Ventilation and A/C company.

I actually don’t want to have to pay for a boiler repair because I know that it is going to cost us a lot of money.

However, it’s still pretty cold outside here at this point. According to the calendar it’s already Springtime, but the temperature outside doesn’t actually seem to agree at this point. I wish that it would go ahead and start heating up already because I am definitely ready for the summer. Also, if it were warmer outside, then I wouldn’t have to worry about the fact that the boiler is broken in the middle of March! I feel it’s just dumb that my pal and I have to be sad about the boiler not working at this point in the year. It’s just one of those things that we have to deal with in order to live around here where we do, I guess. The weather conditions around here are much colder than in other venues, but it’s just a part of life around here. However, the apartment has been so cold lately that none of us are even able to hang around the apartment comfortably. Even trying to go to sleep at night is hard because it’s so cold in the house. That’s why I decided to just go ahead and make an appointment to get the boiler looked at. My friend and I have to do something because none of us in the family are actually doing all that well at this point.
