Melody and I had plans to go away for the weekend.
We have been seeing each other for 6 months, and I must admit things have been going quite well.
See, I was a bit hesitant to jump back into the love wagon after my last heart break. But, you can’t live life without taking risks. So, after a month of knowing Melody, I knew I wanted to make her my girlfriend. She is amazing, and always challenges me to be the best I can be in life. I wanted to take her to this amazing BnB I had come across in the mountains for a romantic weekend. So, we were talking on the phone to finalize our arrangements. This is when Melody told me she was waiting for an AC expert to come to her home. She had been experiencing issues with the AC and wasn’t sure why it was malfunctioning. Since it’s summer, I knew she needed the AC working to keep her home cool. As we were talking, there was a knock on her door, and she set the phone down to go and open it. Then, she came back and said the AC expert had arrived. He was inspecting the unit to see why it had failed. After a few minutes, I heard the AC expert inform Melody she had forgotten to change her air filter. It was filthy and clogged which caused the unit to malfunction and stop working. Melody laughed and said she hadn’t written this in her calendar which is why she didn’t remember to do it.
