I live in a genuinely low lying area near the river. Whenever it rains, it seems love every one of us all need to head to higher ground. The fear of flooding is constantly in our mind. The two of us had lived through several floods and that was why every one of us had our condo on stilts. When you first see the condo in our area, it is almost funny. There are huge columns leading up to the condo and empty space below. He often tells us about the condo and what happened before the stilts were required. The two of us don’t stay in the condo when the flooding begins, but every one of us don’t go back to having a condo full of river silt and bugs. The only time I remember the flooding every one of us had to transfer in with Grandmother for a couple of months. When every one of us got back to the house, mom said they would need to have it demolished. The condo stinked of fish and mold. The air conditioner component wasn’t somewhere to be found. When Mom opened the gas furnace, water gushed out at him. He said there was no way they could reclaim. Now, every one of us have a condo that is built on ten foot stilts. The air conditioner is able to get the stink of the river out of the house. The stink seeps up from the ground below the house.
