We think the water temp is around 47F

We are getting geared up for our cold sea swim in about 30 minutes.

We are waiting for it to heat up a bit first because this morning there was frost all over the ground when we woke up.

For sure the water temp is around 47F and we would like the air to be a bit warmer than freezing so we don’t risk getting hypothermia again like we did last winter when we swam in February. We stayed in that time for 30 minutes and were exercising, which caused us to lose too much body heat, hence hypothermia. Our radiant heating system is on now in our little office, warming it up nicely so that when we return from our cold dip we will be in a nice weather conditions controlled room to get our body temp back to normal. Why do we do these cold plunges? Well, our Heating & Air Conditioning professional had some problems with her immune system and her joints. The cold water dips are known for helping both of those issues. She told us that her joints are much better now and that her immune system is the strongest it has been in many years. She’s not had one cold since starting the dips 5 or so years ago. We are working on our heating and cooling system today for a bit before we go to the sea for our energizing dip, and after that we will go to the local store and get some food for us and the cats for the week. Both of us won’t have to shop for a week after this week, yay!
