Ever since somebody broke into our home and stole a lot of our things, we decided to have a security system installed.
- Not only that but we had to have a new HVAC system installed as well.
We used to have a regular central HVAC system with ductwork and all. The ductwork was still in great shape, but those jerks stole our outdoor condenser unit. I suppose we could have just paid for a new A/C condenser unit, but we decided to go for something better and more energy efficient. We had a ductless mini split installed. Now, the ductless mini split has multiple zones, so we can have customized temperature control settings in different areas of the house now. Also, we did have the concern about it being easier to install the outdoor condenser unit because it’s actually smaller than our old one. That is one reason why we chose to get a new security system though. We have cameras looking at all angles around our house now and we can view the cameras from our smartphones anytime. On top of that, we can monitor the HVAC remotely as well and we can adjust the temperature control settings. We can even answer the door when we’re not home with the nifty video doorbell we have that is connected to our security system. If there was someone trying to break into the house, now we could easily tell them we’re calling the police so they run away! Nobody will be stealing our stuff again, especially not our expensive HVAC equipment.
