Preventing sunburns in the summer

Last summer, some friends and I decided to take a road trip to the beach.

Both of us barely brought any extra clothes, but we used all the storage space in our car for cold drinks, food, and several hours of our favorite music, and the drive was slow since we hit some construction along the way, but we got to our endpoint in no time, however instead of checking into the hotel, but we chose to park on the beach, and start enjoying the sunshine. We had a superb time playing in the waves, throwing frisbees, and just enjoying some well-deserved leisure time. Both of us were having such a good time that I forgot to put on sunscreen, and by mid-afternoon, I was covered in sunburns, discouraged, I walked back to the hotel to take a shower and put aloe on my skin, however afterward, I turned on the a/c in the room and laid on the bed. The cool air from the powerful a/c felt so soothing on our burnt skin, that I felt so relaxed and fell asleep. I woke up a few hours later when our friends came back from the beach, and to our surprise, our skin no longer felt burnt! I was still a little red, but the a/c worked so well to soothe the pain of sunburn so I could rest and heal. The a/c was running so hard that all our friends said it was cold in the room, but it felt superb to them after a day at the beach. If it weren’t for the efficient air conditioning in the hotel, our whole weekend would have been ruined, but thankfully, I was able to enjoy the rest of our weekend at the beach, with sunscreen, of course.
