I wasn’t exactly surprised when our child said she wanted to get into the Heating & A/C industry, then she had typically shown interest in working on weird machines & she really repaired the window AC component the two of us had in the garage! It was one of those deals where I said she could use the window AC component if she could figure out how to repair it.
- She ended up looking at repair videos online & she l acquired all the weird parts & what must be done for typical repair & repairs.
In this case, she said the component just needed to be cleaned & the wiring needed to be replaced or reconnected with solder. She made the work look so easy, & then she was enjoying air conditioner in her room, since then, she repaired a few portable oil furnaces & even did some work on the Heating & A/C unit in our home carefully explaining each step of the process. I wasn’t distraught about a non-professional voiding the warranty on the unit because the plan was already past 10 years old, & I had confidence that she could repair just about anything at that point. She really was serviced with aspergers when she was younger, however while she is a bit socially awkward, she remembers everything with perfect recollection. We’re ecstatic to see that she has developed a passion. I typically told him that if she could find a career in life that she enjoyed doing, she would never have to work a afternoon in her life! She used to tell myself and others that didn’t make sense, until she became an Heating & A/C professional & now she says she understands & likes her career.
