My summer sunburn hack

Last summer, some friends and I decided to take a road trip to the beach.

We barely brought any extra clothes, but we used all the storage space in my car for cold drinks, food, and several hours of our favorite music.

The drive was slow since we hit some construction along the way, but we got to our destination in no time. Instead of checking into the hotel, we chose to park on the beach, and start enjoying the sunshine. We had a great time playing in the waves, throwing frisbees, and just enjoying some well-deserved leisure time. We were having such a good time that I forgot to put on sunscreen, and by mid-afternoon, I was covered in sunburns. Discouraged, I walked back to the hotel to take a shower and put aloe on my skin. Afterward, I turned on the air conditioner in the room and laid on the bed. The cool air from the powerful air conditioner felt so soothing on my burnt skin, that I felt so relaxed and fell asleep. I woke up a few hours later when my friends came back from the beach, and to my surprise, my skin no longer felt burnt! I was still a little red, but the air conditioner worked so well to soothe the pain of sunburn so I could rest and heal. The air conditioner was running so hard that all my friends said it was chilly in the room, but it felt good to them after a day at the beach. If it weren’t for the efficient air conditioner in the hotel, my whole weekend would have been ruined, but thankfully, I was able to enjoy the rest of my weekend at the beach, with sunscreen, of course.
