One afternoon I want my son to be able to take over the business. I am delighted to see that he is showing some interest for the trade. My dad was a butcher and his dad was a butcher as well. My dad thought I was going to take over the family business, although I wanted to spend my days working with my hands in a different way. My son stays out of the way for the most part. He helps myself and others to gather supplies and cleans up when there is a mess. He watches and observes and asks questions. The child is absolutely learning a lot, however last weekend I was in an apartment working on an cooling system complication when the lady next door said she was also having a complication with the cooling system. I told the woman that she would have to wait, however my son said he was pretty sure he could diagnose the problem. He left to go with the woman and returned a half an hour later with an evaluation and course of action to remedy the cooling system problem.
