Not so long ago, I made plans to hang out with my friend. Before he was coming out, I was feeling sort of exhausted since I hadn’t slept very well the following night. I told my friend about that but he still insisted on hanging out. I ended up taking a nap but I slept longer than I had planned. By the time I woke up, my friend was already there and he made some dinner for us. I thought that was very thoughtful, but that’s not the only thing he did. He said he thought that I probably wasn’t sleeping well because I didn’t have enough air conditioning at night. He said he bought me a smart thermostat so I could have the A/C scheduled to come on for a few hours at night to help me doze off to sleep and then it would turn off when I was already sleeping. He also said it would save me money on the energy bills. I asked him how much I owed him for the smart thermostat and he told me not to worry about it. He said I helped him out with so many things around his house that he actually owed me way more than a smart thermostat. Well, that smart thermostat has been awesome being able to adjust it remotely and setting a schedule easy. You can even put it on learning mode so it learns your schedule automatically which is amazing. So far I have seen my energy bills go down and I can’t believe how easy it is for me to sleep at night these days thanks to my buddy.
