I enjoy Chinese food, and I used to know I could eat it every day until I moved into an cabin that was right across the street from a Chinese diner.
The odor of frying chicken, pork, and shrimp was starting to gag me.
I thought I could assume the grease on my skin, but I was at least 100 yards from the locale. I was cheerful I had only signed a multiple-month lease, and positive the Chinese diner was the reason for offering such short-term leases. When my lease was coming up for renewal, I called the landlord and provided him my notice. I wasn’t going to sign another lease, and I was giving him the recommended one-month notice. She wasn’t thrilled with me and told me I would need to pay another week’s rent, since that would put me one day over the lease, and I refused. I said I would be out in time. I wasn’t sure where I was going to go, but I didn’t want to spend the summer time in that apartment. I had already gone without heating, and I would not go without a/c when summer time started. I was talking to my girlfriend who told me I could stay with her until I found another apartment. I had spent a lot of time at her locale, and the Heating and Air Conditioning idea was excellent. The only thing she complained about was how much noise the pipes made when the heat first turned on. As long as I was living with her, I thought I could convince her to let me move, and maybe we could be a permanent couple.
