It absolutely wasn’t the system to have more than our 2 kids.
But that was prior to learning about what foster kids could do for our family. The people I was with and I have welcomed several foster children into the quality heating and air of our loft over the years. And of course, this came with blessing of our biological children. In fact, it was our son, the oldest, who recommended that the people I was with and I help a single of his friends in college. This child was not in a fantastic situation. He was trying so taxing but his family was in a absolutely bad site with addiction and other problems. They lived in a series of low rent loft with the last a single not even having any residential Heating plus A/C. So he came to stay with us once he went into the foster care system. Since then, we’ve particularly added more space to our loft to accommodate other children who are in need. There are 2 additions that the people I was with and I added to our home. They both serve as dining rooms for up to several kids if needed. The Heating plus A/C professionals installed ductless heat pumps in the current additions. I l earned that the existing Heating plus A/C unit just wasn’t immense enough to take on the added air volume. But having the ductless heat pumps has been great. The kids prefer it because they have their own temperature controls in those current spaces. The people I was with and I prefer it because the ductless heat pumps are absolutely efficient and do a wonderful job of providing quality heating and air in those rooms. It’s a blessing to be able to help our kids and provide a safe, supportive site for them to live.
