My wife asked me what we wanted for Christmas dinner and I told her it would be nice to have some turkey.
I guess I was still thinking about the wonderful Thanksgiving feast we had and I wanted some more turkey.
She said she might pick up a small turkey, but she was still getting ham. She knows how much I don’t enjoy ham, but everybody else does. She also said she was making some homemade mac and cheese and some mashed potatoes as well. Well, when the Christmas feast was ready, I couldn’t believe it. It was also strange because even the ham looked appealing to me since it was all glazed up with pineapples surrounding it. The turkey was also amazing and I couldn’t believe my wife pulled it all off. I honestly didn’t even think she was going to really make the turkey. I also got a new electric fireplace for Christmas, so I set it up right next to the table so everybody could enjoy the Christmas feast while feeling like they were next to a real fireplace. I know it’s not the real thing or anything, but the flames look surprisingly real and they give you a real sense of satisfaction. I also appreciate that the electric fireplace came with a remote that I can easily adjust. I adjusted the temperature control settings a bunch of times just during dinner. After dinner was done though, I moved the electric fireplace into the living room to enjoy watching some football! I will be getting a lot of use out of the new fireplace, that’s for sure!
