I absolutely didn’t think what I was in for when I moved to the South.
It wasn’t exactly because I wanted to live in a uncommon area, I didn’t want to leave family and friends behind. It was because I was gave a immense promotion that I couldn’t pass up. Of course, it was contingent upon me moving down to the South, and so I packed up my bags and went. I ended up getting a rental house which wasn’t too bad. The thing is, I had to learn the hard way about using the heat pump during the first Summer season. It became so hot and I kept changing the temperature control to what I thought was a acceptable setting. When I saw the energy bills for the first month of the summer, I was stunned. It was way too pricey and I realized I had to focus on energy saving tips if living in this new venue was going to be worth it! I ended up investing in a smart control unit which saves me a ton, and I also started cooking most of my meals outdoors by grilling or I would go out to eat with buddies. I would keep my A/C set to minimal settings when I was away and I l earned how important respected Heating, Ventilation, and A/C service and care is. I would say these afternoons, the Wintertide season is my number one because the hot and cold temperatures are so nice, and I savor it when it gets a little bit frigid at times, it reminds me of lake house a little bit.
