I wasn’t sure if I should leave my partner home alone when the HVAC technician was supposed to be arriving. I knew most of the HVAC technicians in the HVAC company we used, but there were a few new ones that I hadn’t yet met. It isn’t that I didn’t trust my partner, but he was odd when new people came to the door. He often hid from them, and if the HVAC technician arrived, and he didn’t know them, he may head into the bedroom and lock the door. When my partner called me, I knew the worst had happened. I couldn’t find him when I got home. I had him on the phone talking to him, but he was so hysterical that I couldn’t understand him. I finally found out the HVAC technician was not someone he knew. He ran into the basement and was hiding behind the furnace. Lucky for him, I had called the HVAC company and taked to the HVAC technician. He had repaired the air conditioning unit, and left the bill in the screen door out back. He apologized if he had caused any problems with my partner. I finally found him and told him it was safe to come upstairs. The HVAC technician was gone, and he left the bill behind. Bill came out and he was still shaking. He asked me if I saw the size of that HVAC technician and said I almost lost my partner to him. Had he not been happy being a house husband, he would have gladly followed the HVAC technician anywhere.
