It’s consistently a bit of a culture shock when I come home.
Most of my adult life has been spent overseas so it consistently takes a hour for myself and others to get used to being back in this country.
For sure, there is a immense difference both culturally & material wise. Most of the sites I’ve lived didn’t even have residential Heating & A/C. The countries I primarily spent time in are all developing economies that don’t have even the slightest measure of wealth that we experience. But coming home this time has been even more challenging because it looks love I’ll be home for a while. Normally, when I’m between assignments, I rent a locale for a the months I’m home! And even condo heating & cooling unit is better than none. But now, I’ve bought my first home! I obtained a small 2 home office home that came at a good price however needed a fantastic bit of work. The first thing that was done was the putting in new Heating & A/C equipment. This condo is older however absolutely well built. However the original ductwork was worthless. Instead of having the ductwork ripped out & substituted, the Heating & A/C professionals introduced myself and others to the ductless heat pump option. This is an Heating & A/C option that I have seen in other regions. The Heating & A/C technology makes it straight-forward for multiple building in those regions to immediately add heating & cooling. Plus, the ductless heat pumps are so incredible efficient as well. All I think is that my little condo is perfect when it comes to heating & cooling. The ductless heat pumps in my home produce the best quality heating & air that I could ever ask for.
