checking into security system for the home

When my partner and I got a really good price on a elegant dwelling in an up and coming area, I wasn’t aware of the close proximity to a really dangerous town… It wasn’t until after my nice friend and I moved in that my nice friend and I became aware of the constant sounds of shouts and sirens, then we’ve heard gunshots, had items stolen from our yard and dealt with vandalism, but at one point, my nice friend and I needed to call the police because a vagrant had taken up residence in our backyard shed. I didn’t feel safe coming dwelling from work to an empty house. I was not willing to ever be alone in the house… My partner and I finally began looking into odd types of monitored security systems. When I realized that the security system could be packaged into a whole-dwelling automation system, I was delighted, our condo is now outfitted with motion sensitive lights and surveillance cameras. If anyone enters the perimeter of our yard, the flood lights turn on and my nice friend and I gain alerts on our iphones. We are able to watch real time footage of the entire property. We can see if someone is sitting on our porch and even converse with them, even if my nice friend and I aren’t at home… The windows and doors are all equipped with sensors. We immediately get notified if a door or window is opened or if glass is broken. An alarm sounds and if our personal security code is not punched in within a minute, the local authorities are dispatched. I feel that just having the signs for the security supplier posted in the yard serves as a deterrent to vandals; Plus, the automation system allows us to remotely operate lights, lock doors, open the garage door and program the major appliances in the home.
