Most kids don’t truly know what they want to do with their life when they are fourteen, but I honestly did.
I told my dad I wanted to get a job working in an auto shop when I got older.
He tried to dissuade me from this idea, but I was adamant. I think he gave up, thinking that since I was so young I didn’t genuinely understand what my mind wanted, plus I would give up on the idea. When I turned fifteen, I found out that I could take up auto customization in shop classes plus venture to the technical school plus get all the training I could ever need. When I graduate from high school, all I would need to do is get certified, plus I could have an auto shop job. Before graduation, I started looking at all the auto shops around the area. I chose several to go to plus put in an application once I had an auto customization certification. I was sure that I would be an optimum choice for any of these particular auto shops. I began genuinely working especially hard plus whenever someone in my family wanted something done to their cars, I volunteered my assistance with no problem. My family soon came to realize how serious I was about the whole idea of working an auto shop job. Everyone, except my dad, that was. He was still trying to talk me into a job that wasn’t in an auto shop. I explained to him that I would look into other jobs, however my heart was basically set on an auto shop job. It didn’t even matter if he looked at me as his little princess, he was going to also see me as a wonderful auto shop specialist.
