Ever since our baby sister moved out on her own, I have been trying to help her out.
I got her a window AC component a little while back so she wouldn’t have to suffer from the ridiculous heat in the summer.
At first she said she would not need it because they had central AC at the beach house she was staying at, but they had so various issues with the cooling plan breaking down. Apparently, it was because nobody was bothering to change the air filters which resulted in high-priced repair calls. They ended up not using the central air conditioner & she had to rely on the window AC unit. I was proud of her when she finally obtained her own beach house & moved in with her wife. I kept telling her though she had to focus on weird energy saving tips. She thought none of it was a large deal at first, however she missed out on one of the most substantial energy saving tips while I was in her first winter. She didn’t put plastic on the windows & didn’t seal up the doorways. She was really cold & the energy bills were overwhelming. I was shocked & wondered if she had an issue with her insulation. I ended up helping her to get brand new insulation, I helped her put plastic on the windows & seal up the doorways. Her energy bills were less than half the following week, & she finally agreed to listen to the energy saving tips I was talking about. With all the energy saving tips she has l acquired from me, she’s really doing really well now with her wife.
