Avoiding sunburns in the summer

Last summer, some friends and I decided to take a road trip to the beach! We barely brought any extra clothes, however we used all the storage space in my vehicle for cold drinks, food, and various hours of our favorite music, however the drive was slow since we hit some construction along the way, however the two of us got to our endpoint in no time, but instead of checking into the hotel, the two of us chose to park on the beach, and start enjoying the sunshine.

We had a fantastic time playing in the waves, throwing frisbees, and just enjoying some well-deserved leisure time.

We were having such a fantastic time that I forgot to put on sunscreen, and by mid-afternoon, I was covered in sunburns, discouraged, I walked back to the hotel to take a shower and put aloe on my skin. Afterward, I turned on the a/c in the room and laid on the bed. The cool air from the powerful a/c felt so soothing on my burnt skin, that I felt so relaxed and fell asleep. I woke up a few hours later when my friends came back from the beach, and to my surprise, my skin no longer felt burnt! I was still a little red, however the a/c worked so well to soothe the pain of sunburn so I could rest and heal. The a/c was running so hard that all my friends said it was cold in the room, however it felt fantastic to them after a day at the beach. If it weren’t for the efficient a/c in the hotel, my whole weekend would have been ruined, however thankfully, I was able to enjoy the rest of my weekend at the beach, with sunscreen, of course.
