During the cold winter months, I normally rely on my furnace to keep a comfortable temperature inside my house.
- The winter of this year, however, has been a brutal one.
When the cold weather hit, I forgot to service my furnace, so it stopped working when the cold weather hit. It couldn’t have happened at a more inconvenient time. As I called a heating and air conditioning company to have them come out and service my furnace during the cold winter months, they were all booked up, so I was unable to reach them. My furnace broke during the cold winter months, but maybe I wasn’t the only one. Also, I wouldn’t need an emergency HVAC service since I have a backup heating system. I purchased a space heater from my local heating and air conditioning business last year and have kept it stored away all year just waiting for the right time to use it. Because my heating is so reliable, I didn’t expect to use it, but now that it broke down, it was the perfect time to put it to use. Although it only heated one room, it did an excellent job so I did not have to pay any expensive HVAC emergency repair fees during the winter months. The next year, I will make sure to schedule an appointment with my local HVAC company so I don’t have to go through the hassle of having my heater break down when I really need it.
