He found a tiny fracture in one of the fan blades while checking out the air conditioner. He warned me that the fan motor could overheat if the blades weren’t working properly, which would lead to all sorts of problems. Lucky for him, he found the broken fan blade, in my opinion. He mocked me, telling me I was being nave. He stood out like a sore thumb due to his extensive background working on HVAC systems. The individual’s extensive understanding of HVAC systems solidified my resolve to enter the industry one day. I broke the news to my mom that I had settled on a career path after college. She informed me that I would be starting a heating and air conditioning company before I could even respond. Even though she claimed to be my mother and that she had heard me say that every time the heating and air conditioning people came to the house, I had no idea how she had anticipated my response. I can’t recall how many times I mentioned to my mother that I wanted to go into the heating and air conditioning trade.
