Should there be a flashing light on the AC unit?

I got up yeahterday afternoon, & the cooling system unit wasn’t laboring, then i woke up my husband & told him there was a flashing yellow light on the AC unit, & it wasn’t laboring, and he got out of bed, yawned, & looked at the AC unit.

He told me the flashing yellow light meant there was no power.

It was a safety feature. He was heading back to bed when he turned back around. He frowned & told me my friend and I had to go to town after supper; My friend and I needed a new cooling system unit if that yellow light was flashing. I asked him if there could not be another problem if the flashing light was on. He told me the only other thing it could be is if the power had gone off in the middle of the evening! She pointed to the clock on the stove. It was almost an hour off. Some time in the middle of the evening, the power had gone off, & the cooling system unit didn’t turn back on. He laughed & said he should have realized that. It was my fault for waking him up that he didn’t notice that first? I snorted & walked away from him. My friend and I should have bought a new window cooling system unit last year. It was getting noisier every afternoon, & my friend and I could not get nearly the amount of cool air from it my friend and I previously had. I wished my friend and I hadn’t noticed the clock on the stove. My friend and I would be heading to town to buy a new cooling system unit.
