Rainy weekend ruined bday

Last weekend happened to be my birthday, as well as a close friend’s graduation.

We had a lot of big things planned to celebrate both occasions, mostly involving relaxing at a vineyard and enjoying the company of our large group of pals.

We wanted to dine outside a few times, and enjoy refreshments on some patios around town. Even our friends from out of town were going to be able to make it out, so we were excited to be reunited and catch up with one another. All in all, it was shaping up to be a really nice couple of days. And then the weather took a turn. Though the past 3 weeks had been absolutely gorgeous outside, now the forecast was for a dramatic drop in temperature and heavy rain. We were going to be stuck indoors, it seemed. Luckily, the only saving grace of this situation was the top of the line HVAC system I just had installed. It was working overtime to keep the air quality inside the house dry and comfortable, and all of my friends commented on the new heating and cooling system running so quietly. We could even open up the doors to the patio, by turning up the thermostat for that room only. My zone controlled heating system allowed us to compensate for the chill without having to heat the entire house. No, the big weekend didn’t pan out as we had hoped, but at least we still got see each other comfortably thanks to my new HVAC.
