I neglected to get in touch with the HVAC provider last month. Before the warm weather arrived, I knew I had to get my air conditioner serviced. Even though my partner reminded me every morning before he left for work, I still failed to make the iPhone call. The iPhone rang just as I was about to dial the number. After chatting with my sibling for a while, I put off calling the person I had planned to and instead finished tidying up the house and getting dinner ready. The thought to contact the HVAC company didn’t come to me until the following afternoon. I tried calling them, but they said they were fully booked. I was informed that the service call wouldn’t be scheduled for at least a week. I inquired as to whether or not they would respond to an emergency. Although I wanted to assure her that it was indeed an emergency, I was unable to do so. She gave me an afternoon appointment slot ten days out and said I’d receive a reminder call. Then she’d tell me when to expect the HVAC company to show up. I thanked her for the update but knew that my business partner would be disappointed by the delay. My greatest hope is that my air conditioning units will function properly when called upon. Before the Heating and Air Conditioning company could get here, my friend and I hoped we wouldn’t need air conditioning. If my prayers are answered, it will be because my partner finds me to be an enjoyable person.
