I can’t get an air purifier

Last March I was getting really into cooking.

I started looking up recipes online and buying all the fancy ingredients.

In particular I really started enjoying cooking seafood. I loved experimenting with different rubs and oils on the fish and then baking it. I found that for scallops and shrimp, pan frying the meal is way better. The smell of seafood cooking is kind of gross though. It would shoot up into my ductwork and then get dispersed room to room. My whole house would reek of fish and be lingering in my air quality for days. Burning a candle, cleaning the house and room sprays did nothing. I then found online that an air purification system can remove icky smells from the IAQ. I called up my local HVAC business and started talking to a HVAC contractor about what to get. I was just deciding on what brand when COVID hit. Everything shut down and I had to wait on buying my air purification system. I thought it would be a temporary thing. My HVAC company ended up being closed for a few months. Once they opened back up, tons of people bought air cleaners in a panic. There were none left for me. It has almost been a year now and I still can’t get my hands on a good air purification unit. I have been dealing with icky smells this whole time. I don’t want to buy a crappy one, but the virus isn’t going anywhere and people are buying all the good ones. It is very frustrating.
