So my partner as well as I sure had a surprise almost 18 months ago. That was when we had the air conditioning tune up done early in the Springtime. That’s a wise choice around here given that temperatures in March can get to the upper 69’s during the morning at times. So we’ve consistently tied up the Springtime Heating as well as Air Conditioning service early. But it wasn’t early enough as it turned out. The Heating as well as Air Conditioning professional told us that he had real reservations about whether or not the heat pump would last through the Summer. That was a jolt, but of course, it shouldn’t have been since the heat pump was almost 25 years old, with all that Heating as well as Air Conditioning service, the heat pump was just never a concern as well as we simply didn’t think about replacing it. So we came into last Summer with a lame heat pump because we needed to save more currency to replace it. My good friend and I had to sort of organize a family meeting because we all had to do our part to help get the aged heat pump through one more blazing Summer. That was going to be a tall order as we generally default to more air conditioning than less. My good friend and I genuinely were cruising through June last year when my kid bet me that it would last til September. That was too juicy a bet to resist as well as I took early September. Well, my kid ended up winning the morning on that one as that aged heat pump genuinely lasted until we replaced it in November. That was one bet that I was quite happy to spend my money off.
