Don’t take bets on that aged heat pump

So my partner and I sure had a surprise almost 18 months ago.

That was when my pal and I had the A/C tune up done early in the Spring.

That’s a wise choice around here given that temperatures in March can get to the upper 73’s during the afternoon at times. So we’ve constantly busy the Spring Heating, Ventilation and A/C repair early. But it wasn’t early enough as it turned out. The Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional told us that he had real reservations about whether or not the heat pump would last through the Summer. That was a jolt. Of course, it shouldn’t have been since the heat pump was almost 25 years old, then with all that Heating, Ventilation and A/C repair, the heat pump was just never a problem and my pal and I simply didn’t guess about replacing it. So my pal and I came into last Summer with a lame heat pump because my pal and I needed to save more money to replace it. My fine friend and I had to sort of organize a family meeting because my pal and I all had to do our part to help get the aged heat pump through one more blazing Summer. That was going to be a tall order as my pal and I generally default to more A/C than less. My fine friend and I easily were cruising through July last year when my son bet me that it would last til October. That was too juicy a bet to resist and I took early October. Well, my son ended up winning the afternoon on that one as that aged heat pump easily lasted until my pal and I replaced it in October. That was one bet that I was quite glad to pay off.
