It’s so difficult saying goodbye to your parents… Almost all of us have to deal with that scenario in one way or the other sometime in our lifetime, and my brother and I lost our dad two years ago and it’s still difficult to even guess about him, however but I guess he would approve of having A/C in the cottage he left to us; This was his spot for sure; He was raised in a different era where hunting easily put meat on the table and in the freezer. The fact that his hunting cottage was on land owned by the family for generations made it all the better. My brother and I could hardly bring ourselves to visit the cottage much less beginning renovations that ended up including Heating, Ventilation and A/C equipment. This was the place where my brother and I learned an bad lot about being grown men. There was something about how simple dad was when my pal and I were roughing it at the cottage, however it was all just so easy out there. These nights, I now understand why he would shed the commercial Heating, Ventilation and A/C of the office for long weekends of solitude at the cottage. After my pal and I made a few visits just us, my brother and I decided that my pal and I wanted to make the cottage family friendly. Times had changed as my pal and I both savor our wives and want them with us, plus, my pal and I both only have daughters; So adding satellite wi-fi and a couple of ductless heat pumps for the Summer made sense. My fine friend and I even spruced up the place with some modern furnishings as well, yea, I guess dad would cherish hanging out here with his granddaughters.
