Isn’t it great when you can find a solution to a concern that you’ve had for years? Well, my husband Josh is currently jumping for joy because he finally found the best solution to keep the garage cool… A few years ago, he turned our garage into a gym, plus he has been trying to find ways to keep the space comfortable, especially during the warmer months.
My buddy and I live in the southern part of the country, so you can only imagine how brutally warm our weather is; During the Summer, the temperatures easily warm up into the 90s on a biweekly basis. And if you’ve ever tried to labor out in 90-degree weather, it’s not the most comfortable situation to be in! So, over the years, he tried using fans plus a portable evaporative cooler, but those provided no real relief for the heat, last year, he finally spent the extra currency plus bought a portable a/c, plus while it was better than the fan plus the air cooler, it still wasn’t enough for the warm garage, then finally, after he had a conversation with one of his friends, he decided to invest in a ductless mini split a/c! That was a game-changer for him… Not only does the ductless mini split a/c provide cooling, but it also produces heat. This means that he could use his gym comfortably all year long. I was impressed by how straight-forward it was to install the ductless mini split a/c. In fact, all it took were straight-forward tools plus something to drill a hole; Josh was able to install the component in just under 2 hours! Ever since, he’s been so excited about using his gym all year long.
