We have to get the camper’s boiler fixed before my pal and I can go out next month.

My friend and I cherish going camping and we have been waiting with bated breath to see the temperature go up enough outside so that my pal and I can go.

The weather is finally heating up a little bit, but it’s still not warm enough to go yet. However, I read that in just a few weeks the rapidly changing temperatures are going to be warm enough that we can go camping comfortably. I can hardly wait and my hubby cannot contain his excitement. My friend and I just cherish camping together as a family so much that we can’t wait to get back out there into the good outdoors again. It’s been a long, cold winter time and my pal and I are sick and exhausted of being cooped up inside. Anyway, even though the weather will be a little bit warmer then, we both are still going to need to use the boiler in the camper when we are staying there overnight. The temperature drops pretty dramatically in the evenings and so my pal and I definitely are going to need a heating source while we are there. I don’t know what’s wrong with the furnace in the camper but it was on the blink last year when my pal and I put the camper away for the winter. I’m sure that it hasn’t magically corrected itself by this point and so we are going to have to do something about it before we go back out this year. I can’t wait to get it fixed because I actually can’t wait to get my natural dose again!

We are actually going to have to get the boiler fixed before my pal and I can host the children’s event that we are planning for next month. Even though Springtime is coming and the weather is finally heating up around here a little bit, it’s still not going to be warm enough by then to have the children’s event. My friend and I are supposed to do a large Springtime kind of thing at our church where my pal and I give away food packages and summertime clothes and things like that to underserved children in the community. My friend and I have been planning it for a long time now, but one of the things that we were not planning on was having a concern with our boiler. Around here where my pal and I live, the Springtime doesn’t actually show up until late in May. Right now, the rapidly changing temperatures are still in the 40s, and there’s no way that my pal and I can have this program without a working boiler. I don’t know what we are going to do if we can’t get the boiler fixed in time. I just don’t feel that we will be able to heat the entire gym where we are holding the event with a couple of electric space heaters. The furnace that is installed out in the gym is huge, and my pal and I have to have a commercial Heating, Ventilation and A/C company come out to look at it. I already have a call into them, even though I am hoping that it is not going to cost us truly much. Maybe we both can get a discount since my pal and I are doing this whole thing for charity.

Last month when he was working on our boiler, my hubby tore it up even more than it was to start with.

When he first told me that he was going down to the basement to try to work on the boiler, I just rolled my eyes at him. Of course, he was mad at me because I rolled my eyes at him, even though I have my reasons! The last time my pal and I had an issue with our boiler, he tried to repair it himself and save us money on heating and cooling repairs. However, he ended up making the concern a whole lot worse than it was to begin with. That’s how he is most of the time. He is so cheap that he never wants to call in a professional to repair things around the house. He always says that he can do it himself, but that actually isn’t the case most of the time. He is not exactly a jack of all trades, if you know what I mean. He is nice at what he does at work, but that is about it. He does not know how to repair things around the house, and that includes the furnace unit. Since our heater was broken and the weather is still kind of cold around here, I decided to take matters into my own hands. Even though he was down in the cellar banging around on the boiler unit, I went ahead and called to make an appointment with the Heating, Ventilation and A/C company. That way, when he came upstairs and said that he couldn’t figure out the concern like I knew he would, I already had taken care of things.

The boiler was broken when my kids went back to school in December after winter time break.

• The first morning of school after they came back, they came into the apartment and started to complain to me about just how cold it was in the classrooms that morning.

I was surprised that they had even had school that morning because of the cold rapidly changing temperatures that my pal and I were having that week. Apparently, no one at the school knew that the boiler was torn up before they had already run all of the buses and gotten everyone into the classrooms. They were so worried about making sure that the tots got another morning of classes that morning after the split that they went ahead and stayed in the building even though everyone was chilly. It was the craziest thing ever. I have never heard of anyone doing that before when the weather is so cold. My child told me that her art mentor kept the kiln fired up while in their class so that they would at least have a little bit of heat in the classroom. Then during gym they all huddled together in the room with the heated pool because that was still working. I know they are going to have to get a brand new heating and cooling system installed in the school building, but that isn’t going to happen until summer time when they have the time to do all of the repairs at once. It will be a nice thing when they get it done, too. I don’t want to have to worry about the heating and cooling system at school on top of everything else.

I actually wanted to repair the Heating, Ventilation and A/C system at my apartment myself when it tore up last month.

I am on a mission to get out of debt and paying for an extravagant boiler repair is not a nice way to help with that, that’s for sure! If it had happened a month later, I absolutely would have just let it go and not repaired the boiler until next fall.

However, around here, the weather does not even start heating up until the end of March. I knew that there was no way that I would be able to live without a working boiler until then because I still had about seven weeks to go before the rapidly changing temperatures started creeping up. I observed that the boiler wasn’t working properly one morning when I woke up and I could basically see my breath in the house. It was so cold that I finally ended up turning the electric furnace, that I keep for emergencies, on in the bedroom while I got ready for work. I never use that thing, but it’s a nice thing that I had it that morning. The temperature was in the 40s that morning, and with the wind chill in our area, it felt a whole lot colder than that! Anyway, I figured out later that the boiler was on the fritz and as difficult as I tried to repair the issue myself, I could not figure it out. I finally called to make an appointment with my local heating and cooling corp because it just had to be done.

The indoor air quality was terrible at the concert that my pal and I chose to go to last night. I can’t believe that they even went ahead with having the concert once the heating and cooling system went on the blink. In my opinion, they should have just shut the whole thing down and canceled it all. I feel it’s actually terrible that they let all of us come into the venue when it was so stuffy and warm inside of the huge room. I could tell as soon as my pal and I chose to go inside that there was something going on with the Heating, Ventilation and A/C system. Usually in venues like that, you can feel the heating or cooling vents running and blowing air down on your head from the high ceilings. In this certain venue, that wasn’t the case at all, at least that’s how it was last night. I feel that the Heating, Ventilation and A/C system was torn up. I observed that there was a large commercial Heating, Ventilation and A/C truck out in the parking lot close to the front of the building when my pal and I parked. Maybe that should have been a sign to me that we were in for a rough night. The concert was going to be a sold out show, and so my pal and I knew that it was going to be actually crowded inside once we got in there. However, I never thought about the fact that there wouldn’t be any ventilation in the venue while in the show. There are no windows in the building at all and so without a working Heating, Ventilation and A/C system, the air inside was stuffy and stifling. I got warm and uncomfortable before the opening band even finished their set. I basically had a terrible evening because I was so warm the whole time.

This year for her anniversary, my pal and I got my mom a thermostat as her gift, however my mom is one of those people who is actually difficult to buy for.

Usually she just goes out and buys herself whatever she wants, and I am not actually sure why she has not purchased a modern thermostat for her apartment before this point, even though I am excited that she hasn’t.

That’s because it ended up being a nice idea for an anniversary gift for her. I was over at her apartment for supper after church on Sunday, and we started to notice that the apartment was heating up in the afternoon sun. I mentioned that I was getting too hot, and my mom said that she had turned the thermostat down already so it shouldn’t be warm in the house. But as my pal and I ate supper and watched the ball game that was on TV, it got hotter and hotter in the house. I told my mom that I thought there was something going on with her Heating, Ventilation and A/C system and she said that there was something wrong with her outdated thermostat. She just sighed and said that she thought it was about time to change the thermostat in the house. She told me that she had been putting it off because she did not want to have to deal with it. She said that she did not want to go and purchase a modern thermostat and she also didn’t want to have to install it herself! That’s when the light bulb went off in my brain and I knew that that was what I was gonna get for her for her anniversary this year.

Our home has an electric furnace as the central heater, and we’ve always been on time for HVAC equipment servicing.

When we decided to buy a mobile home and move away from our house for a few months as a change of scenery, we got the heating contractor to install a gas furnace.

I didn’t think it would fit within the small space, but heating technology can be surprising because the heating and cooling system differed from what would be used in a typical home. The heating and cooling provider told me that the furnace had been made to ensure that it was safe with closed combustion, and it made sense. I hadn’t even thought of the fire hazard of the central heater I had in mind. We bought and installed the unit and moved away. Then came the challenge of finding an HVAC technician who’d handle furnace/heater tune-up for our mobile home. Unlike back home, we knew how to change the furnace filter because we had to do it every month because of the dirt we collected in the open. We only got a reliable repairman because of the friends I’d made at the playground who recommended the company they’d bought their boiler from and their experts who’d done a good boiler repair job. Our mobile home was okay, the heating was working as it should, and our cooling needs were not as necessary, so we didn’t bother. By the next servicing, we’d be back home, but we were not going to move with the home because we wanted to keep it in the exact location until we saved to move it elsewhere. It’s been fantastic.

When it rains, it pours – and the damages will leave you handling multiple water damage issues.

After heavy rains, our basement flooded, and so did the boiler room.

We had just learned about the extent of the damage when we tried to heat the house once the electricity was restored and got nothing. The heater seemed dead, and nothing we did was bring back the heating technology. We needed the HVAC equipment to work if the house was to be liveable. I shipped my kids to my sister, whose house had not been affected, and then passed through town to find an HVAC technician to help me with boiler repair if possible. The heating and cooling provider queue needed to be shorter to wait, which meant a longer waiting time. I needed an urgent furnace/heater tune-up, so I called my only HVAC repairman friend, although he lives 3 hours away from me. I explained the situation with the heating and cooling system, and unfortunately for us, there was a high probability that I’d need to buy new equipment. According to him, the water had likely damaged the central heater and electric furnace components, so drying it out, as I imagined, would not work. I explained the issue with finding a heating contractor to help us because most homes in my area had an issue, and he offered to drive out and help us. That remains my flood miracle because the work needed to be done extensively, unlike the simpler tasks he’d taught us to do over the phone, such as changing a furnace filter. We were lucky that only our basement was affected extensively because I’d have had too many things to replace and possibly move away to a new home.

Right before summer started, my heating and cooling system’s ductwork developed a leak that drastically reduced indoor comfort.

It also made a hissing noise when it was on. I called the heating and cooling provider and scheduled a furnace/heater tune-up. The heating contractor postponed the appointment due to an unforeseen circumstance. Several months ago, I used the fans I bought from a retired heating dealer to withstand the heat as I waited for the HVAC repairman. I also spent much time in the pool and barbequing with my neighbors. When the HVAC technician finally arrived, I switched off the unit. I noticed they were the same workmen that did the electric furnace installation. After the boiler repair, my heater has worked well since then. I have kept in touch with the heating business, receiving their advice whenever I have questions concerning the heater or heating technology. After a while, I noticed the air quality at the house had reduced, so I contacted them for heater maintenance. This time, he was prompt. After assessing the system, he recommended we use the HEPA filters to replace the furnace filters. There I discovered that he had sent an email reminding me to replace the filters and suggesting these high-quality filters, and it was like I had a new heating system to help with indoor comfort. If I had read the email, which went to the spam folder, I would have saved the cost of hiring a tech. We all learn from experience, right? I even learned how to replace my filters, improving how well I cared for the central heater.
