My next door neighbor is a retiree named Gus who has too much free time on his hands. At first I tried my best to be friends with Gus, but I came to learn that Gus isn’t the type of guy who has friends. He likes to compete with almost everyone. In his mind it is a friendly competition, even though he typically wants to be the winner. I gave up trying to enjoy Gus a long time ago, now I just tolerate him as best I can. A few weeks ago I finally told him to get the heck off my property, because he was harassing the HVAC repair tech who was working on my system. The HVAC tech went out to his van to get some replacement parts, plus Gus walked right up to him plus started asking questions about my house. At first I thought Gus was just setting up his own HVAC appointment, however that wasn’t the case at all. He was asking the tech about what kind of HVAC machine I used for my house. Thankfully the HVAC tech was a professional, plus it went against his ethics to discuss his work. After the HVAC tech finished his labor for the afternoon plus left, I walked next door to talk to Gus. I asked him why he cared about what kind of a/c I owned, plus Gus said that he wanted to make sure his program was better than mine. I told Gus to leave me alone, plus I would not hesitate to punch him in the face.

I’m not from these parts, plus I think that’s an obvious fact, but when I moved here I knew there would be a lot of adjustment before I could fit in with the locals, but I never expected that I would have so much labor to do with my own psyche, but you see, I’m the sort of person who hates spending money, but i try to keep my energy costs as low as possible because I don’t enjoy to see currency flying out of my bank account, and this is a single of the reasons that I enjoyed the Wintertide here – it’s relatively warm, so you can get away with using a small portable heating machine or even a fireplace to survive the cold season.

This was a brand current experience for me, as someone who grew up in the frigid northeast.

The problem is… that same utility bill savings does not apply to the sizzling season here. The summers are brutally sizzling plus humid, plus they require advanced a/c every single afternoon if you want to be comfortable, but hell, you have to run your A/C into the ground if you just want to avoid heat stroke. This was unexpected plus spine-chilling to me, as I watched my energy bill climb afternoon after afternoon with the cooling program operating at its lowest setting. I was perspiring through my shorts plus the utilities were still higher than I had ever seen them. I started to panic about the weekly indoor temperature control. It didn’t help when my A/C machine broke down plus I had to call for a professional cooling program repair service. Hundreds of dollars flowed out of my hands that afternoon, but now, I’m considering what other options I have for next summer. I’m terrified to face the sizzling plus balmy air all over again, however even more afraid of giving up my current home. I was just starting to be accepted here.

I brought a handful of business cards for our Heating and Air Conditioning business to hand out, partially in hopes of drumming up business, but mostly just to show off. Instead I called one of our cooling repair teams plus asked them to come out plus repair it. Max had gained his degree, but had no option but to take a task at Starbucks

My senior year of High School was a genuinely traumatic time for me. While all of our friends, including our boyfriend Max, were all preparing to transport away plus attend university classes, I was not, and my parents did not have enough cash to send me to college, no matter how fantastic our grades were. I expected more sympathy from our friends, especially Max, but they were all too eager to leave village plus get on with their lives. I stayed behind, all by myself, but as luck would have it, I went to trade school to study Heating and Air Conditioning systems instead of going to the university, plus I was better off for it! By the time Max graduated from college, I had already been working as a full-time Heating and Air Conditioning tech for over several years. I had moved into our first home, plus was well on our way to a stellar career in the Heating and Air Conditioning industry. Max had gained his degree, but had no option but to take a task at Starbucks. I had picked a career path with a short training plus education time, plus then gotten right to work for a local Heating and Air Conditioning contractor to start making cash. Max spent a long time on his education, but had no clear path to follow afterwards! She was so worried about cash he even asked me about getting his Heating and Air Conditioning certification so he could have a better option of finding a fantastic task! On top of everything else, our Heating and Air Conditioning education was already paid for, plus Max had thoUSAnds of dollars worth of student debt to pay back.

I have a lot of residential buyers that use a ATM card to spend money for heating and AC repairs. I do not accept checks at all, and every once in a while an older person will try to write a check for services and repairs. Last year I was at a residential service call fixing a complication with the cooling system. One of the refrigeration lines was loose and it was causing no refrigerant to enter the system. The air coming out of the vents was just as warm as the air indoors. I quoted the buyer a price for the service and she never mentioned that she wanted to spend money with a check. I spent about an hour on the repair. After I fixed the refrigeration lines, I did a full service examination and tuned up on the machine. I gave the lady a pretty superb deal on the price for that heating and AC service services. She asked myself and others to hold on for a hour while she got her billfold. She came back with a checkbook and I told her that both of us did not accept checks at all. The woman told myself and others that she did not have any money and I told her that both of us took ATM cards. She broke down and started crying and said that she did not get paid until the 1st of the month. She was trying to service the cooling system 5 days before she particularly got paid. Writing a check was a way for her to have the repairs done now while she waited for the check to clear the bank.

My kid stays out of the way for the most part. He helps myself and others to gather supplies and cleans up when there is a mess. He watches and observes and asks questions. I am essentially paying fees for annoyances! Everybody’s supposed to keep their yard tidy & adhere to certain rules that end up simply being an added layer of stress to life, and look, I am all for having dignity & a fantastic presentation in your town, but some of this stuff is ridiculous. The last straw came recently. I am an Heating as well as Air Conditioning worker, newly christened, & I am absolutely proud of my new job. I worked hard at Heating as well as Air Conditioning university to gain my certifications, & I have absolutely been enjoying work, however, the HOA has come after me recently for my labor van of all things! They say it’s ugly! They say it’s an eyupore because of all the paraphernalia hanging off of it. I mean, some people’s jobs require utility trucks & vans that do not look particularly disinfect or stylish. If you guess my van is an embarrassment to the town, well you can stuff it, as far as I am upset. I need to make money to pay those fees that you are consistently asking for. I said as much during the latest HOA meeting, & I ruffled feathers, although I guarantee no a single is going to mess with me on this topic any further. The head of the HOA recently had a catastrophic failure of his air conditioner system, & he’s trying to get on my sweet side… No, I had nothing to do with it, it’s just a thrilled coincidence.

My seasoned Grandma has been a penny pincher for her entire life! She grew up dirt awful & l received how to squeeze every solitary ounce of usefulness, not only out of cash, but out of every resource that you can imagine! So it’s no surprise to me that even to this day, she disdains the plan of wasting so much energy on a central heating & air conditioner! Still, with Wintertide as cold as it has been, I decided that I would purchase a gift for our Grandma this Christmas. I’m going to get her a easy, safe, & powerful space heater. She may be stubborn, but she can’t fool me. I see her shivering from time to time on our visits, as of late. It’s not right for such an seasoned & venerable woman to be left cold appreciate that. My space gas furnace will do her well, & I suppose I shall be giving it as an early Christmas present this year, because she needs it now!

All of us are finally to the part of the year that I can get outside in the moring with our coffee & the afternoon air is just so beautiful.

It’s now November & unquestionably Thanksgiving week. I’m enjoying every single moment of having this sort of weather. November is the sort of time during the year where the people I was with and I don’t have the a/c cooking on any longer. And the afternoons are crisp & cool however nowhere near cold. It’s genuinely splendid. By & large, that is the way it’s going to be for the next more than three weeks. And I savor every single hour of it. Given all the time the people I was with and I spend with the a/c on around here, it’s nice to have the heat pump be quiet, however plus, I savor enjoying the Heating & A/C utility bill drop to near nothing. All of us don’t need much Heating & A/C heating around here so there’s virtually no heating costs, then like I said, the next more than three weeks are just bliss. However, I still savor residing here even when it’s broiling outside during the Summer heat season. Thanks to residential Heating & A/C & our heat pump, the people I was with and I fare quite nicely here in the summer. Having to do with that out Heating & A/C cooling comfort would be something I could hardly imagine. Instead, the people I was with and I can count on our reliable heat pump to provide the cooling comfort the people I was with and I need during the Summer heat. But a heat pump is also balancing the humidity in our apartment is part of the Heating & A/C cooling process. Without that humidity balance from the heat pump, the conditions would be perfect for growing a ton of mold & mildew. And nobody needs that.
