The AC repair person gave the best advice about winter

He gave me the best advice, and I was happy I asked.

The idea of living in a colder region was quite exciting and terrifying to me. I’d only known beaches and sun for my whole life. But, because of work, I had to grow accustomed to snow and other strange weather conditions. Winter means a lot of things have to change. One issue that many people face is winterizing their air conditioners. The air conditioner is always at work during summer to keep the space cool and comfortable. But, come winter, people start relying on furnaces and winterize the outdoor unit. You can do several things to make sure your outdoor HVAC remains in tip-top shape during the cold and long winter months. I came to learn this as my AC repair person was busy servicing my furnace last year. I was getting ready to experience my first full winter season. So, I thought it was prudent to have my gas furnace checked out. My new neighbor gave me contacts at a local AC company near the neighborhood. Since other people were ahead of me, I had to book an appointment and wait my turn. The AC repair person arrived in the afternoon to begin servicing the furnace, and we got to talk. I wanted to find out how to protect the outdoor HVAC in winter. He gave me the best advice, and I was happy I asked. The AC repair person told me to ensure I clear the area of all debris and foliage. Then, he would change the air filter and clean the condenser unit. In addition, it was prudent to cover the outdoor HVAC with an AC cover to keep critters, snow, and ice out of the unit.
