But what I was doing was producing the perfect environment for mold & mildew to grow. That was quite a rude awakening for me however again, rookie mistake by first time homeowner.

But there was also plenty of wonderful that came from the challenges and sacrifice.
In our home, it’s just us and the dogs. The people I was with and I bought this house because both of us loved the size. But more than that, the house just fit us on every level and there was no way both of us were letting it slip away. But after updating Heating & A/C unit in addition to the family room, both of us were stretched when it came to our finances. I labor from house as a technology consultant. My partner runs a small crafting corporation but also works section time making wonderful money in a steakhouse. But due to the pandemic, she was 1 of the first casualties, her job was gone pretty much instantly. That was difficult on our finances, while she was able to find some online gigs, both of us still needed a help. The people I was with and I knew both of us had to do more in order to make ends meet. And that has when both of us decided to turn section of our house into a honestly cool studio apartment. As I said, our house is pretty sizable and there was a sizable section that had once been some sort of labor shop. It had plumbing and electricity but little else. All both of us had to do was add a galley family room, some furniture and decorate the place. The people I was with and I then had the Heating & A/C corporation send out an Heating & A/C supplier to install a ductless heat pump for wonderful residential Heating & A/C. Then both of us found a wonderful tenant who was a grad student and it all worked out splendidly.

Summer freaks myself and others out
I’m not from these parts, and I feel that’s an evident fact.
When I moved here I knew there would be a lot of adjustment before I could fit in with the locals, even though I never expected that I would have so much toil to do with our own psyche… You see, I’m the sort of lady who hates spending money.
I try to keep our energy bills as low as possible because I don’t like to see money flying out of our bank account! This is one of the reasons that I enjoyed the Winter here – it’s relatively warm, so you can get away with using a small portable heating device or even a fireplace to survive the chilly season. This was a brand new experience for me, as someone who grew up in the freezing northeast. The concern is… that same utility bill savings does not apply to the moderate season here. The summers are brutally warm and humid, and they require advanced air conditioner every single day if you want to be comfortable, hell, you have to run your AC into the ground if you just want to avoid heat stroke. This was unexpected and horrifying to me, as I watched our energy bill climb day after day with the cooling system operating at its lowest setting. I was perspiring through our shorts and the utilities were still higher than I had ever seen them. I started to panic about the biweekly indoor temperature control. It didn’t help when our AC equipment broke down and I had to call for a professional cooling system repair service. Hundreds of dollars flowed out of our hands that day. Now, I’m considering what other occasions I have for next summer. I’m terrified to face the warm and balmy air all over again, but even more afraid of giving up our new home. I was just starting to be accepted here.

My child prefers to ride with me

When our child turned 15, I started letting her ride with myself and others on the weekends when I have repairs or replacements that are not going to be a sizable deal. My child stays out of the way for the most part. He helps myself and others to gather supplies and cleans up when there is a mess. He watches and observes and asks questions. The child is genuinely learning a lot! Last weekend I was in an beach house working on an cooling system complication when the lady next door said she was also having a complication with the cooling system. I told the lady that she would have to wait, but our child said he was pretty sure he could diagnose the problem. I spent about an hour on the repair. After I fixed the refrigeration lines, I did a full service examination and tuned up on the machine. I gave the lady a pretty good deal on the price for that heating and A/C repair services. She asked me to hold on for a second while she got her billfold. She came back with a checkbook and I told her that both of us did not accept checks at all. The woman told me that she did not have any cash and I told her that both of us took credit cards. She broke down and started crying and said that she did not get paid until the 1st of the month. She was trying to repair the cooling system 5 afternoons before she absolutely got paid. Writing a check was a way for her to have the repairs done now while she waited for the check to clear the bank.
