My work was late and so was the HVAC tech.

I don’t think anyone really understands how I feel when it comes to my work.

I have to have perfect working conditions, or I can’t get anything done.

I am so easily sidetracked, that my husband gets upset with me. I look out the window for a second, and it ends up being an hour long daydream. If it is a bit too chilly in the house, and my hands are cold, I have a difficult time typing. This doesn’t help me when I have a deadline to reach. It also doesn’t help when it is too warm in the house. The heat makes me itch and then I definitely can’t get any work done. Last week, I was blaming the HVAC technician for my work being late. I had called to have my air conditioning unit serviced. I had an appointment, but the weather didn’t care when the appointment was. It got hot quickly and I still hadn’t had my air conditioning unit serviced. I had to turn it on to keep the house cooler. The AC unit had only run for about two days when it quit running. I called the HVAC company, but they had no service appointments available unless I wanted to make it an emergency. It actually was an emergency, but I couldn’t afford to pay the high price. By the time the HVAC technician arrived, I had been without AC for about a day and I hadn’t been able to get any work done. The HVAC tech was almost two hours late, which he blamed on the sudden onslaught of heat. I got snarky and told him my work was late, so why shouldn’t he be?
