I am still getting used to the cold weather of the north… I come from a hot and sunny climate and all of the up-to-date things that come with managing our oil furnace have been a bit overwhelming to me, but where I’m from I am used to the oil furnace and the a/c being combined into one unit…
- And everything lately has been an adjustment, and that includes dealing with all of this up-to-date cold weather.
So it was not a surprise when I was unprepared when an easily nasty snow storm came through that I did not know what to do. I had not done anything for our aged oil heater. I had not had it maintained over by a heating and air conditioner professional and I don’t even suppose the last time I had tune-ups done on it was… The storm was an exhausting one and it didn’t take much effort for it to completely knock out our heater. I began to get distraught when the house started to hastily become cold and I started thinking that I was going to go to a hotel and call for an emergency heating plus air conditioning repair. It was then that my husband reminded me of our space furnace that all of us had stored in the garage. I was able to get a hold of the space furnace and that thing stopped me from being frigid by heating up the room until all of us could have the central oil furnace fixed. If it wasn’t for that radiant space furnace I would be paying a legitimately luxurious emergency heating plus air conditioning repair fee.
