Because I was not willing to settle for low quality or give up on reliability or the latest features, the price was especially high. Before I made the purchase, I put in a great deal of research. I looked into the leading manufacturers, styles and models of equipment on the market. I read consumer reports about treadmills, ellipticals, rowing machines, stairmasters and stationary bikes. Each piece of equipment offers different advantages and downsides. I wanted to choose something that wouldn’t take up a lot of space. I was looking for quiet operation, dependability and to minimize impact on my joints. I wanted some type of exercise equipment that would help me burn a large amount of calories in a short amount of time. After a lot of debate, I decided on a stationary bike. Working out on the bike is so enjoyable that I feel as if I’m not working hard enough. I can read on my Kindle or file my nails while I pedal. The bike features a large, user-friendly touchscreen display that permits me to pick between a variety of workouts. I can set the workout to accomplish a specific amount of calories, distance or time. During the session, I can easily heighten the exertion level by adding resistance or simply pedaling faster. I’ve realized that I am able to burn between 400 to 500 calories in an hour. The seat of the bike is comfortable and I enjoy listening to music. A built-in fan operates quietly and helps to keep me cool.
